Carosel Child Care is a home child care conveniently located in Menlo Park, CA off of HWY 101 and down the street from Facebook headquarters.

Carosel offers a clean, safe, nurturing, and loving environment where care is provided by a certified and experienced Preschool Teacher with Child CPR and First Aid training. Carosel also offers a Preschool Program for children ages 2-5 years.

Primary caregiver, Isabel, lovingly nicknamed “Mami” by the many young children she has worked with over the years, is a certified preschool teacher with many years of experience working with young children and is also Trust Line Registered. Isabel is active in keeping current on early childhood topics and taking continuing education courses and other classes and workshops that benefit your children.

Isabel, has earned not only a nick name, but a reputation for being a “kid magnet.”

Carosel was named so because it conjures images of laughing children enjoying a carefree day riding on the beautiful horses of a carousel. Isabel says this image captures the epitome of childhood.

Play is an essential part of learning. Imaginative and dramatic play is encouraged at Carosel. Interactive story telling, singing, fingerplay are all a daily component of learning and growing. Self care skills and toilet training are supported. We believe that children learn best when concepts are presented in a natural way. Academic learning is not all accomplished with worksheets. So in addition to practicing with worksheets, Carosel encourages learning through play, story telling, and games. Likewise, infants and toddlers are engaged in developmentally appropriate activities.

Carosel is focused on the child’s natural desire to learn and offers a variety of engaging daily activities and access to many developmentally appropriate child toys for structured and free play. Indoor activities may include music, singing, playing with puzzles, blocks, painting, dress up, and other games. Outdoor activities may include riding on toy cars and tricycles, playing on play structure or play house, bubble or water play, nature walks in the yard and gardening.
